Goal Not Met : People Still Served
I want to thank everyone who contributed. The money was sent to Guatemala to a Community of Women seeking to produce goods to sell in the market. Your donations went towards buying seeds and other necessary items for their cause. They are very thankful. I look forward to receiving pictures from them!

Banff Mountain Film Festival Fundraising
The first attempt for the Guatemala fundraising went well enough. The Banff Mountain Film Festival is a collection of short award winning films. The tour showed all kinds of independent films on rock climbing, base jumping, mountain biking and more. The crowd that Banff attracts each year is a lot of college-aged outdoor enthusiasts. Needless to say, this is not the kind of people that can afford to donate much to support the cause. But, where little is had, and little is given, much is appreciated. The total funds raised at the film festival will be counted after the showings tomorrow. Check out some of the donators by the "Karma Kayak".

Let the Funding Begin
Two summers ago, I had the chance to go to Guatemala and take part in various humanitarian projects. This summer I hope to return again. By June, I need to fundraise $2500 for all of the projects that my group will be doing. This money does not include my traveling expenses. All of the funds raised will go directly to the non-profit organization called, Help-International. They can give receipts for tax write-off purposes. Please spread the word and contribute! I will work on a link that will allow readers to donate online. Thanks again!

New Blog!
This is the new blog to put out some awareness of the humanitarian projects that are going on and how you, as a reader, can help. Thanks for stopping by!
